Does it understand Jakarta slang?
Colloquial Indonesian — nggak, udah, gimana — transcribes the way it's spoken. Very deep regional slang may need a quick edit, but everyday informal speech is fine.
Can I transcribe WhatsApp voice notes (VN)?

What about Javanese or Sundanese?
Javanese and Sundanese are among Whisper's supported languages, though with less training data than Indonesian — clear recordings work, heavy code-mixing with Indonesian may need edits.
Does English mixed into Indonesian work?
Yes — English words like meeting or deadline stay in English inside the Indonesian sentence, matching how people text.
